Jasmine Crockett Uses 2 Cutting Words To Describe The Trump Era

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) is not backing down in her efforts to hold the current administration accountable. In an April 11 appearance on MSNBC, Crockett discussed the ongoing tension between the Supreme Court and President Donald Trump, a standoff that escalated after the administration defied a court order to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an immigrant wrongfully deported to a notorious Salvadoran prison, CECOT.

Crockett bluntly expressed her frustration, saying, “I feel like I’m in an abusive relationship. I think all Americans may feel like we’re in an abusive relationship with this administration, as well as with the Supreme Court.”

The congresswoman criticized the high court, which she claimed is struggling with a legitimacy crisis and failing to “earn the trust of American citizens.” She warned that growing tensions between the judicial and executive branches could lead to an “ultimate clash.”

She also noted the rarity of the Court’s unanimous stance on this issue, stating that “which doesn’t happen very often.”

Regarding Abrego Garcia, Crockett emphasized the administration’s ability to both send him to El Salvador and bring him back, saying, “If you could figure out how to get him down there, then you can figure out how to get him back.”

Crockett also took a swipe at her Republican colleagues in Congress, saying she “can’t find a spine anywhere in the House,” and expressed frustration over the lack of criticism regarding Trump’s erratic behavior. Specifically, she highlighted his “crazy tariff war that nobody asked for” and questioned why Trump’s mental stability isn’t being scrutinized.

“The fact that no one is questioning his mental acuity or fitness to serve is beyond wild to me,” Crockett stated.

In contrast, Crockett defended President Joe Biden’s leadership, pointing out that under Biden’s administration, Americans could rest assured that their 401(k)s were safe. She argued that Biden’s leadership provides stability compared to the uncertainty under Trump’s presidency.
